Aiguille du Midi (3824m)

Today we made it to the top of the Aiguille du Midi on what can only be described as a perfect day. No wind, hardly a cloud in the sky, a fresh -10 degrees and a view that spread all the way into Italy and Switzerland. at 3824m high we could certainly feel the affects of altitude, a shortness of breath, heavy legs when stepping up and much longer to regain our breathe once stopped. We sat looking up at Mont Blanc (4850m) as snowboarders, skiers and paragliders passed us making their own way to the bottom. We both just marveled at the view that we had and loved every second of it. We even made it back to camp for banana pancakes for lunch.
