We spent a few days walking around a few great little cities and towns like St Remy-de-Provence and Arles where we walked the streets, watched the filming of a movie in the square infront of the town hall, watched Mistys hair being blown by the Mistral winds, sat and wathed a few people attached to rubber bands running up and down the face of buildings, took in the smells of a spice market, went to visit (and it was only a short visit) to the asylum where Van Gough spent a quality 12 months of his life. The asylum is still up and running with phrases such as "we are able to welcome people who have the misfortune to fall into madness" and "we are dedicated to the miserable who have lost their reason" signed at the front entrance makes us glad we both came from good stock (now is the time to tell us Mums and Dads if there is any mental illness in either of our families) as we agree if you need to have some time out, the countryside in France wouldn't be a bad place. In his 12 month stay he managed nearly 350 paintings and drawings most of which were the view from his top floor window funny enough.
